MIRI, Dec 13: The lifeless body of a 51-year-old man was discovered at a bus stop at GK Jalan Pujut 4 in Miri early today.
Police and medical personnel from Miri Hospital responded to a distress call at around 7.30am.
The man was found unresponsive on the bus stop’s floor, and medical personnel pronounced him dead at the scene.
According to sources, a motorist who happened to be a friend of the deceased pulled over, thinking he recognised the body.
It turned out to be his friend, prompting him to call the police and inform the deceased’s next-of-kin.
A close source to the police revealed that the case is being investigated as sudden death.
