MIRI, Nov 7: Police are on the hunt for two individuals after they rammed their car into a couple’s vehicle at Jalan Sepupok, Niah, on Tuesday.
According to Miri police chief ACP Lim Meng Seah, one of the suspects is the brother of the female victim, while the other individual is believed to be his friend.
It is understood that the 31-year-old woman has entered into a relationship with a man, but their love was opposed by her family, especially the brother.
During the 9.30am incident on Tuesday, two cars were reportedly involved in a collision and a commotion ensued.
The cars involved in the collision were driven none other by the woman’s brother and her boyfriend respectively, Lim said.
“Prior to the incident, the boyfriend had earlier fetched the woman from a house in Sepupok, Niah. They did not know that the brother had tailgated them on another car.
“Upon reaching the scene, the suspect suddenly accelerated his vehicle and rammed into the victim’s car,” he continued.
No injuries were reported in the incident.
