KUCHING, Aug 19: Seliman Bandang, who was inducted into the Malaysia Book of Records (MBOR) as the oldest living man in Malaysia has passed away today at age 113.
It was reported that Seliman had breathed his last at Saratok Hospital at 5.20am this morning.
According to a TVS report, his funeral wake will take place at Rh Mulok, Klua Krian, Saratok on Aug 21.
The deceased will then be buried at the Klua Christian Cemetery in Saratok the following day (Aug 22).
Born on March 21, 1910, the centenarian was discovered by MBOR after he was featured in the newspapers as the oldest person in Sarawak who had been vaccinated against Covid-19.
The discovery then led to a new record of oldest living person in Malaysia which was previously held by Annamah Abukutty who was born on March 31, 1911. — DayakDaily
