KUCHING, July 9: Only six new imported cases of Covid-19 were recorded today, as the country goes for the second day without locally spread cases reported, said Ministry of Health (MoH).

According to MoH, the six new cases were reported in Selangor (four cases), and Johor (two cases), involving five Malaysians and one foreigner, returning from Indonesia, Egypt, and Singapore.

MoH said that all of the individuals were currently being treated in hospitals, namely in Sungai Buloh Hospital in Selangor, and Enche’ Besar Hajjah Khalsom, in Kluang, Johor.

“A total of 13 cases (8,499 cases in total) had also recovered and been discharged from the hospitals, with zero deaths reported,” it said in a statement posted on the ministry’s Facebook page, today.

However, MoH also stated that two cases are still being treated in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), and one of them requires respiratory assistance.—DayakDaily.
