KUCHING, Nov 3: Two were injured in a single-vehicle accident along Jalan Serian-Sri Aman today.
According to the Sarawak Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) operations centre, they received a call regarding the accident at 1.28pm and deployed firefighters from Bomba Serian.
“The operations commander reported that the accident involved a 5-tonne lorry that landed in the roadside ditch after losing control.
“The two victims, one who is the lorry’s driver, could not get out of the (lorry’s) cabin,” it said.
Following that firefighters then proceed to extricate the victims through the front windscreen of the cabin.
“Both victims were later given initial medical treatment before being transported to Serian Hospital for further action,” it added. — DayakDaily
