SIBU, March 3: A lorry attendant from Rumah Dieo lost his life in a self-accident at Jalan Rh Daniel, off Jalan Quarry yesterday.
Sibu district police chief, ACP Stanley Jonathan Ringgit revealed today that the 34-year-old victim was heading home when he lost control of his motorcycle at about 2.50pm yesterday.
“The victim had reached his longhouse, Rumah Dieo, when he lost control of his bike and crashed onto the road shoulder,” he added.
Members of the public rushed the victim to Sibu Hospital at 9.15pm.
However at 3am today, the victim’s brother lodged a report at the Sungai Merah police station to inform them that the victim had died at 9.51pm the night before.
Stanley disclosed the case is being investigated under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987. — DayakDaily
