MIRI, June 6: A local man and an Indonesian were arrested by Miri police on Tuesday morning for their involvement in suspected drug activity.
The arrests were made in two separate raids held from 9am to 10am following a public tip-off. The man was arrested in Krokop while the woman was arrested in Piasau.
During the raids, the police seized suspected illegal substances believed to be syabu from suspects’ possession.
The local man aged 44-years-old and the 27-year-old woman from Indonesia have been detained under police custody for further investigation.
The case is being investigated under Section 12 and 15 of the Dangerous Drug Act 1952. — DayakDaily
