SRI AMAN, Feb 4: A total of 573 individuals from Tanjung Rembai, Skrang and Engkilili received their land titles under Section 18 (Agriculture) of the State Land Code at a ceremony here today.
The land titles were presented by Deputy Chief Minister Datuk Amar Awang Tengah Ali Hasan, who reminded the recipients to work their land at optimum rates.
“If you work out your land well, it’s going to give you money and income,” he added.
He also disclosed that the state government has provided a RM40 million allocation for land survey works in the state.
“Under the new federal government, no funds have been provided and the state government sees the importance of surveying this land so an allocation has been granted,” he added.
He also disclosed that until December 2018, 2.1 million acres of land was measured. — DayakDaily
