KUCHING, April 1: A KK Mart convenience store along Jalan Satok was hit by a molotov cocktail attack yesterday.
Kuching District Police Chief ACP Ahsmon Bajah in a statement today confirmed that a report had been made by the staff of the convenience store on March 31.
He said in the incident, a carton of drinking water placed in front of the mart was set ablaze after the molotov attack.
“The police are actively tracking the suspect and the case is being investigated under Section 435 of the Penal Code (for committing mischief by fire or any explosive substance),” he said.
On the same note, Ahsmon calls for the cooperation from members of the public to forward any information regarding the incident by contacting Investigation Officer Sargeant Ceremona Nasim at 0138554168 or to come to the nearest police station.
He also reminded the public not to act outside of the confines of law but leave the matter to legal process. – DayakDaily
