MIRI, 12 Jan: The Ministry of Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs (KPDNHEP) Miri has given assurance of sufficient food supply for this district which will be under the Conditional Movement Control Order (CMCO) starting from Jan 13 (12.01 midnight).

This was disclosed by Miri KPDNHEP chief Joe Azmi Jamil today.

He said KPDNHEP Miri is always monitoring developments and food stocks in this district to avoid supply shortages or price increases.

“People in Miri do not have to worry, there’s no need for panic buying as the food stocks are more than enough,” he said.

Earlier, Joe Azmi and his officers inspected food retailers in Miri.

“Stocks for items such as face masks, hand sanitisers, sugar, rice, flour, cooking oil and fresh chicken are sufficient,” he said. — DayakDaily
