Kampung Sawai in Daro to enjoy 24-hours electricity supply by year end

KUCHING, Oct 28: Kampung Sawai in Daro is set to receive 24-hour electricity supply through the Rural Electrification Scheme (RES) by the end of the year.

According to a news report from Sarawak Public Communication Unit (Ukas) today, Daro assemblyman Safiee Ahmad said apart from that, Kampung Sawai will also be connected to Sibu through the 15km tarred road project.

“This is implemented by the Sarawak government through Rajang Delta Development Agency (RADDA) to connect the two areas which is only accessible by river previously,” he said when met by reporters after officiating at SK Sawai Matu on Thursday (Oct 26).


Meanwhile, during the event, Safiee also presented a RM8,000 cheque to SK Sawai Matu’s Parent-Teacher Association (PIBG). — DayakDaily
