KUCHING, Jan 27: Farley Supermarket in 6th Mile is offering 16 items at lower prices as part of the ‘Jualan Rahmah’ programme, available today and tomorrow (Jan 27 and 28).
The items are whole chicken (RM8), 30 Grade B eggs (RM9.99), 1kg potato (RM1.99), 1kg big onion (RM2.50), 1kg Haiyang Fuji apples (RM1.90), 1kg sweet cabbage (RM1.99), 1kg dragon fruit (RM3.99), 10kg Mountain brand fragrance rice (RM29.99), 1kg sugar (RM2.45), 850g Lily brand flour (RM1.99), Roma cream cracker (RM2.50), 1.1kg Milo (RM16.99), Lee Fah Mee (RM2.50), 1.5 litre Coca Cola (RM1.99), 3.2kg Top Detergent Liquid Refill (RM16.99) and Vinda toilet roll (RM27.99).
According to Stampin MP Chong Chieng Jen, the 16 items are subsidised by the Federal government through Ministry of Domestic Trade and Cost of Living (KPDN).
However, the selling prices are only made available throughout the ‘Jualan Rahmah’ programme period.
“For the ‘Jualan Rahmah’ initiative, the Federal government allocated RM20,000 for each State constituency every month to subsidise some selected food items so that they can be sold at a much-discounted price.
“Apart from that, the Farley Supermarket also runs their discount sales for many items displayed in conjunction with the impending Chinese New Year celebration.
“It is the hope of the government that with the continuous implementation of this ‘Jualan Rahmah’, it will help to lighten the burden of the people in the current economic situation,” he said in a statement after attending the programme at Farley Supermarket today. — DayakDaily
