J&T Express Sarawak donates 5,000 masks to state Covid-19 efforts

KUCHING, April 28: J&T Express Sarawak donated a total of 5,000 masks to the Sarawak government at former Legislative Assembly Building today.

“We are playing a small part to help Sarawakians in the fight against Covid-19,” its branding and IT executive, Siew Chung Sheng emphasised during the ceremony to hand over the donation to Deputy Chief Minister Datuk Amar Douglas Uggah Embas who is also the State Disaster Management Committee chairman.

Chung disclosed that the donation is the part of the company’s corporate social responsibility (CSR) efforts.


“If the government requires further assistance for the delivery of medical supplies, we will gladly lend a hand,” he added.

He also revealed that the company will carry out free deliveries especially for medical supplies throughout the state.

Also present were Minister For Local Government and Housing Datuk Seri Dr Sim Kui Hian, Sarawak Health Department director Dr Chin Zin Hing, Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) Sarawak assistant director Rodney Scott Dreman, and J&T Express Sarawak marketing administration staff Amirah Imanina. — DayakDaily
