Jepak by-election records 45.44 pct turnout rate as of 4.15pm

BINTULU, Nov 4: As of 4.15pm today, the Jepak by-election has recorded a total of 10,342 out of 22,761 voters, or a 45.44 per cent turnout rate.

Sarawak deputy police commissioner Dato Mancha Ata said the voting process at 14 polling centres has been running smoothly.

“The public was orderly and there have been no unwanted incidents,” he told reporters at the Bintulu Civic Centre earlier today.

Meanwhile, he urged those in Jepak who have not voted to fulfill their duties before the closing time, with voting centres closing by 5.30pm.

So far, three polling centres namely SK Kuala Annau, SK Sg Setulan and Tabika Kemas Kuala Segan have closed.

The results are expected to be announced tonight at 9pm. — DayakDaily
