SIBU, Oct 19: Residents in Jemoreng will soon be able to travel to Sibu with ease once a new road, Jalan Sebedil is completed in three years’ time.

Deputy Chief Minister Tan Sri Dr James Jemut Masing said the 21.7km road costing RM104 million is being built to connect Bawang Assan and Jemoreng.

“Tomorrow I am going to Bawang Assan for a simple reason to build a road there. There is no road in Bawan Assan (to link to Jemoreng)  so I am going to build a road, Jalan Sebedil,” said Masing told reporters today after witnessing 200 members of PSB Ngemah branch tendered their resignation to pledge their support to Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS).
