JBALB gets new water tanker lorries to alleviate demand during festive seasons, dry spells

JBALB Sarawak has received a fleet of water tanker lorries to better serve the people during festive seasons and dry spell weather.

KUCHING, May 10: The Rural Water Supply Department (JBALB) Sarawak has received 12 new water tanker lorries on May 8 which will be allocated and utilised by each JBALB division to better serve consumers especially during festive seasons and dry spell weather.

JBALB revealed in a media release yesterday that 12 more new water tanker lorries will arrive by the middle and end of May.

The additional lorries will enable each JBALB division in Sarawak to have two lorries which will assist them to respond faster and ensure consumers continue to receive clean water supply.

The handing over ceremony was officiated by Minister of Utilities Dato Sri Dr Stephen Rundi Utom at the compound of JBALB headquarters here.

Assistant Minister of Water Supply Datuk Liwan Lagang, Permanent Secretary to the Ministry Dato Alice Jawan Empaling and JBALB director Chang Kuet Shian were present.

JBALB Sarawak thanked Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi Abang Johari Tun Openg for his concern and continuous support towards the department in providing good services to the people. — DayakDaily
