SIBU, Jan 18: The Jalan Oya Health Clinic will be closed temporarily from 8am to 1pm tomorrow (Tuesday) to allow sanitisation exercise to take place.

It will reopen at 2pm on the same day.

Sibu Division Disaster Management Committee, in a press statement, said they have to carry out sanitisation after two positive Covid-19 cases were detected which involves cleaning contractor workers at the premises.

“All health personnel at the premises had been screened and all were negative,” it said.

The committee said patients who have an appointment at the clinic for tomorrow afternoon  can come as usual and they do not have to worry because the clinic has been sanitised  after that.

Moreover the clinic is regularly cleaned twice a day and the risk of infection is very low.

Patients coming to the clinic are advised to always comply with the standard operating procedures (SOPs) set by the Health Ministry.

“Wear face mask properly, always make sure your hands are cleaned with water and soap or hand sanitizer. Keep a distance of one metre and do not shake hands or come in contact with others,” it advised. — DayakDaily
