KUALA LUMPUR, Jan 18: The Education Ministry has cancelled the Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) trial examinations.

According to national daily The Star, the SPM trials were postponed earlier as many schools were located under the Conditional Movement Control Order (CMCO) areas which include states such as Selangor, Kuala Lumpur, Sabah as well as Putrajaya and Labuan.

The Education Ministry said the schools in CMCO areas no longer have to organise trial examinations for SPM students although they were required to organise them during the reopening of the new academic term on January 20.

The ministry said this in its frequently asked questions regarding the operation of educational institutions which was updated today (January 18). —DayakDaily
