KUCHING, April 26: All interzone travels within Sarawak remain prohibited except for essential services with police permits during the latest 21-day Conditional Movement Control Order (CMCO).

This is the new regulation released by the Ministry of Local Government and Housing in a statement today following the announcement by State Disaster Management Committee (SDMC) to extend the statewide CMCO period from April 27 to May 17.

“All movements between zones are not permitted except for essential services and related vehicles in the industrial, business and manufacturing industries after obtaining police permits,” it said.

As for interstate travels, the previous standard operating procedures (SOPs) remain effective where police permits are compulsory.

For those who wish to enter Sarawak will have to get approval from SDMC through the ‘Enter Sarawak’ application and have the Health Declaration Form filled in before their travels. — DayakDaily
