Gymnasium, reflexology centre, spa, karaoke and workout studio not allowed to operate in Kuching

KUCHING, April 26:  Gymnasium, reflexology centre, spa, karaoke and studio as well premises for yoga, Zumba and other similar activities are not allowed to operate in Kuching  during this Conditional Movement Control Order (CMCO) period.

According to the new standard operating procedures (SOP) just released by Sarawak Disaster Management Committee (SDMC), these businesses are prohibited to operate until May 17.


Likewise, Ramadan bazaars, agro markets, night markets and midnight markets in uptown and downtown areas are also not allowed to operate.

Activities allowed in Kuching during this CMCO period included all economic and industrial activities, official duties and activities related to health, emergency and death.

Meanwhile, for businesses allowed, the operating hours of all businesses and offices have to be kept between 6am and latest by 10pm.

Restaurants, eateries and food stalls are allowed to operate but the fullest dine-in capacity is up to 50 per cent or a maximum of 100 customers only.

These are the latest SOPs released by SDMC in view that CMCO in Kuching, Miri, Sibu, Betong, Bintulu, Sarikei and Kapit has been extended to May 17, 2021. — DayakDaily
