KUCHING, March 12: Integrity, rooted in honesty, diligence, and sincerity, is a fundamental value every individual must uphold in carrying out daily responsibilities, be it in their personal or professional life, Works Minister Datuk Seri Alexander Nanta Linggi says.
“Fasting in any religion and culture symbolises the strength of self-control over integrity and identity. ‘It is a self-control and self-refrain for a mission to stay in its course’.
“It is very important for every individual to have integrity that stems from the attitude of honesty, diligence, and sincerity in daily life, including when carrying out tasks and work,” Nanta said.
He shared these reflections in a Facebook post, after attending a gathering and breaking of fast event with staff of the Ministry of Works (KKR).
Nanta also highlighted the spirit of unity, especially during festive seasons like this, where people of all races and religions come together to celebrate and strengthen bonds.
“Although we have different religions, it is important for us to respect each other and celebrate the diversity that exists in Malaysia.
“Events like this are not just about breaking fast, but also serve as a space for us to strengthen ties, reinforce unity, and cultivate a spirit of togetherness among KKR members,” he said. – DayakDaily
