Heavy rain, thunderstorms, strong winds expected in Miri, Limbang until 9pm (July 8)

KUCHING, July 8: Heavy rain, thunderstorms, and strong winds are expected in Miri and Limbang until 9pm tonight.

The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia), in a notice issued at 6.40pm today, said the affected areas in Sarawak include Subis, Beluru, Miri, Marudi, and Limbang.

“A thunderstorm warning is issued when signs indicate a storm with rain intensity greater than 20 mm/hour is approaching or expected to last for more than an hour.

“This warning is short-term and valid for a maximum of six hours per release,” said MetMalaysia. — DayakDaily
