KUCHING, March 26: Five districts in Sarawak are expected to experience thunderstorms, heavy rain, and strong winds until 6pm today.
In a notice issued at 3pm today, the Malaysian Meteorological Department (METMalaysia) said the affected areas are:
- Sri Aman (Sri Aman)
- Sarikei (Pakan, Julau, and Meradong)
- Sibu (Sibu)
- Mukah (Matu and Dalat)
- Kapit (Song)
A warning is issued when there are signs of a thunderstorm with an intensity of rain exceeding 20 mm/hour that is close to or expected to occur for more than an hour.
A thunderstorm warning is a short-term warning valid for a period not exceeding six hours for a single issue. — DayakDaily
