Hair salons, number forecast outlets, entertainment joints, fitness centres among those prohibited to open

KUCHING, June 29: Hair salons, number forecast outlets, car wash shops and fashion boutiques are among those prohibited to open during Phase One of the National Recovery Plan (NRP) until July 12.

According to Sarawak Disaster Management Committee (SDMC), the latest guidelines also apply to furniture shop, sports equipment outlets, jewellery stores, car accessories shops, florists and cybercafes.


Besides, spa and wellness centres as well as pedicure and manicure service outlets were also not allowed to conduct businesses.

The same applies to gymnasium centres, premises and studios for yoga and zumba sessions.

As for entertainment, night clubs or pubs, cinema and karaoke shall remain closed.

For outdoor activities, photography is prohibited while fishing is just for those earning a living.

Sports and recreation activities except for jogging and light exercises within the neighbourhood area are allowed.

SDMC said social gatherings such as wedding, anniversary celebration, full-moon party, reunion, retreat and so forth remain prohibited. — DayakDaily
