KUCHING, Feb 9: Brewmaster Hans Gerner from Bavaria, Germany believes drinking beer is healthy and could treat dandruff problems.

He said beer has a lot of antioxidants, vitamins, proteins, and other minerals, which helps protect the heart, prevent kidney stones, lowers bad cholesterol level, strengthen the bones, helps reduce stress as well as improve memory.

Sharing about beer culture in Germany, he said beer is considered as ‘liquid bread’, a staple food and not an alcoholic drink in Bavaria.

“Beer is a fundamental part of Bavarian tradition, part of our lives and of our culture. Beer in Bavaria is ‘Gaudi’ which means ‘fun and joy’,” he said.

In Bavaria, he added, drinking beer also means sharing good times together, socializing, sharing traditions, meeting people, and enjoying a perfect day or evening.
