KUCHING, Nov 7: Parti Bumi Kenyalang (PBK) pleads to Democratic Action Party (DAP) to withdraw from contesting in Sarawak in the 15th General Election (GE15).

Its president Voon Lee Shan said there are three reasons why DAP should withdraw from this election.

“Firstly, DAP being a ‘foreign party’, has no business in Sarawak. It was never the intention of our forefathers to have any Malayan political parties setting foot here. They are alien to Sarawakians.

“Secondly, the parliamentary seats in Sarawak are meant for political parties from Sarawak and not for Malayan political parties to grab.

“Sarawak is only given 31 out of 222 seats in Parliament, and a seat won by political parties from Malaya is a seat taken by Malaya,” he said in a statement today.

Meanwhile, he claimed that the third reason was that it is better for DAP and other political parties from Malaya to solve the economic, social, and political problems in Malaya first before poking their noses into Sarawak.

He stressed that the problems in Malaya could cause the collapse of the nation and it is better for political parties from Malaya like DAP, Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR), Parti Amanah Negara (Amanah), and Parti Islam Se-Malaysia (PAS) to use their energies and resources to clear the mess there.

“Chong Chieng Jen (Sarawak DAP chairman) and his colleagues in Sarawak should resign from DAP and join local political parties.

“This is because Malayan political parties have begun not to be accepted by Sarawakians. The result of the last 12th Sarawak Election against them was loud and clear,” he emphasised. ā€” DayakDaily
