Kota Sentosa rep celebrates completion of 7th Mile recreation park worth RM200,000

KUCHING, April 25: Kota Sentosa assemblyman Wilfred Yap Yau Sin celebrated the official completion of a Rural Transformation Project (RTP) valued at RM200,000 aimed at enhancing the Olive Garden recreation park at 7th mile, Kota Sentosa today.

In a statement, Yap highlighted the importance of community involvement in park maintenance as well as waste management, encouraging residents to treat the park with the same care as their personal belongings to sustain its improved state.

Yap said the recreation park will play its role in fostering community engagement on top of urging local associations to utilise the space for social and recreational activities which are aimed to enhance the nearby residents’ quality of life and improve social bonds.

In addition, following the simple handing back ceremony for the project, Yap also expressed his gratitude to the officers from the Landscape Department of Padawan Municipal Council for their outstanding supervision and monitoring of the upgrading works, ensuring the completion and high-quality finishing of the project.

The project which was executed by the Padawan Municipal Council through Waterwell General Trading included significant upgrades like walkways, massage footpaths, new exercising equipment, concrete benches, rubber tilling for the children’s playgrounds, as well as garden lighting. — DayakDaily
