MIRI, Nov 22: In a two-day operation, police here detained three individuals, including a foreign national, during Ops Tapis Khas.
Drugs believed to be methamphetamine, weighing 10.6 grammes and valued at RM2,220, were seized during the operations conducted in Bakam, Bekenu, and Batu Niah.
During the first raid at an unnumbered house in Batu Niah, police seized 5.1 grammes of the drug with a street value of RM1,020, leading to the arrest of a foreigner for further investigation.
In a separate operation at a house in Bakam, two local men were arrested after the discovery of illegal substances believed to be methamphetamine weighing 5.5 grammes.
Both cases are under investigation pursuant to Section 39A(1) of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952. — DayakDaily
