Floodwaters flush out 14-feet long python in Limbang

LIMBANG, Dec 11: A 14-feet long python was discovered hiding inside a chicken coop in Kampung Tanjung Riman here today.

The reptile which was found curled inside the coop surrounded by floodwater was later rescued by a Limbang Civil Defence Force (APM) team led by SM(PA) Haziq Haikal Hamdan after they were alerted to the discovery at 8.40am today.

It took them nearly 30 minutes to capture the reptile.

Kampung Tanjong Riman is amongst several villages in this district affected by flood following continuous downpour since Monday.

Other villages affected are Kampung Pangkalan Madang and Kampung Mendamit.

Water levels were reported to have risen from 0.6 metre to 0.9 metre. — DayakDaily
