MIRI, March 9: A 36-year-old female motorcyclist was lucky to escape with only minor injuries when she was struck by not one but two cars at about 4.30pm yesterday.

According to State Traffic Investigation and Enforcement chief Supt Alexson Naga Chabu, the accident happened near the Piasau traffic light junction when the rider was on her way to Luak from Piasau.

He said the first car grazed the motorcycle and because of that, the motorcyclist lost control of the vehicle and that was when she was knocked down by the second car.

Alexson said the first car sped off the scene.

The victim was later taken to Miri Hospital.— DayakDaily
