KUCHING, May 21: An accident involving a four-vehicle pileup caused a massive traffic jam at Jalan Kulas, Satok yesterday.
State Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Department chief Supt Alexson Naga Chabu said the 4.27pm incident occurred when one of the drivers, a 26-year-old man, was travelling from Petra Jaya into the city centre and rammed into the vehicle in front of him.
The impact of the collision made the second car, driven by a 24-year-old student, slide forward before ramming into the third and fourth cars, driven by 34-year-old Land and Survey staff and a 27-year-old journalist respectively.
Alexson said all the drivers did not suffer any injuries. Police are currently investigating the case. —DayakDaily
