KUCHING, June 6: An 18-year-old motorcyclist was killed after he lost control of his ride and collided with a car travelling in the opposite direction at Kampung Mundai, Padawan last night.
The incident happened at 9.30pm. The deceased was believed to be travelling towards Kuching at the time.
According to a statement by Sarawak Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Chief Supt Alexson Naga Chabu, the deceased received heavy injuries to his head and was pronounced dead by a medical officer at the scene.
The car driver was uninjured.
The case is being investigated under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987. — DayakDaily
