SELANGAU, Dec 28: A family of nine were rushed to the Selangau clinic after the van they were travelling in crashed into a road divider near Jalan Selangau-Sibu today.
The Fire and Rescue Deparment (Bomba) Sarawak said a team of firefighters from the Selangau Station responded to the emergency at 3.40pm.
Upon reaching the location, the Bomba team discovered that members of the public had already assisted all the victims out of the vehicle.
Subsequently, the individuals were transferred to the Selangau clinic for medical attention.
Unfortunately, details and condition of the nine individuals were unavailable at the time of the press report.
Firefighters confirmed that the incident involved a single-vehicle accident in which it is believed that the driver lost control, causing the van to crash into the road divider.
The Bomba team then initiated cleanup efforts, clearing the wreckage debris and securing the site before concluding the operation. — DayakDaily
