KUCHING, Aug 12: Areas in Sebuyau that were recently affected by water supply disruption was caused by a burst on the supply’s pipeline.

According to a news report from the Sarawak Public Communication Unit (Ukas) today, the Sarawak Rural Water Supply Department (JBALB) had revealed in a statement that the issue was caused by a large tree that had fallen on the pipe, causing it to rupture.

“As such, action was taken to remove the fallen tree and the reconnection works on the pipe are being carried out,” it said.

JBALB assured that water pressure in the affected area will be back again in stages, following the repair works.

JBALB also apologised for any inconvenience caused.
