MIRI, Aug 7: Temporary road closures and traffic diversions will be implemented to facilitate repair works on the 18-inch AC main pipe near GK Supermarket at Pujut 3, Jalan Pujut-Lutong, here, which is responsible for water supply disruptions in the area.
According to a post on its Facebook page, Sarawak Water said that repair works will start at 4pm today and are estimated to be completed by 5pm.
The utility provider also issued a notice for an unscheduled water supply interruption which began at 4am and is expected to end by 5pm.
“Motorists are advised to plan their journey, follow all traffic signs and instructions from traffic personnel on site, and use the designated alternative routes.
“We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience caused and greatly appreciate your patience and cooperation throughout the duration of these repair works,” it said.
The affected areas include Piasau, Permyjaya, Tudan, Lutong, Senadin, Southlake, Vista Perdana, Kuala Baram, and the surrounding areas. Water tankers will be mobilised upon request.
