Extension of MCO period crucial to break the chain of Covid-19 transmission: Minos

Dato Peter Minos

KUCHING, April 10: Political observer Datuk Peter Minos fully supports the federal government’s move to extend the period of movement control order (MCO) until April 28.

He observed that the novel coronavirus (Covid-19) infection was still ongoing and thus, the federal government had to extend the period of MCO.

“The extension of the MCO is needed to contain and to break the chain of Covid-19 transmission.

“The federal government wants to protect the rakyat by calling all of us to stay at home.

“Although it is not easy, we need to comply with the government’s directive so that there will not be any more lives being lost due to Covid-19,” he said in a statement.

Peter observed that the frontliners especially the policemen, armed forces personnel and members of The People’s Volunteer Corps (Rela) have been doing a great job in carrying out their duties to urge the people to comply with the MCO.

Hence, he urges Sarawakians to abide by the government’s order to follow the rules and guidelines set during the MCO period to enable Malaysia to win the war against Covid-19.—DayakDaily
