KUCHING, June 11: Senior Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob disclosed that 25 compounds were issued, while five individuals were arrested and remanded by the police for not complying with the standard operating procedure (SOP) during the Recovery Movement Control Order (RMCO) period.

According to Ismail Sabri, although there is a relaxation on the SOP under the RMCO, but the authorities will continue to monitor public compliance with the SOP.

“Action will also taken against those who do not comply with the SOP and regulations set by the government,” he said during a press conference on Covid-19 (non-health) development in Putrajaya, today.

Meanwhile, Ismail Sabri also reminded those who are doing their 14-day home quarantine to not cut off their quarantine wristband, or they will be charged in court for the offence.

He said that they also must remember that on the 13th day of the home quarantine period, they will need to undergo another screening test, and if the result is negative, then they will be allowed to go out in public.

“They also should not cut off their wristband. If they do, they will be charged in court or a compound of RM1,000 will be imposed on them,” he added. — DayakDaily
