Zero confirmed Covid-19 cases in Sarawak today

KUCHING, June 11: There is no new positive case of Covid-19 reported in Sarawak today.

The information was disclosed by State Disaster Management Committee (SDMC) in a media statement.


As such, the committee stated that the cumulative number of positive cases for Covid-19 in Sarawak stood at 556 cases.

At the same time, it revealed that there were 20 new cases of person-under-investigation (PUI) whilst six cases of PUI were awaiting laboratory results.

SDMC added that there were five Covid-19 patients who have recovered and been discharged from the hospital today.

Out of the five patients, four were from Sarawak General Hospital (SGH) while one was from Bintulu Hospital.

With five more cases of recoveries, SDMC said the cumulative number of patients who have recovered from Covid-19 in Sarawak are 531 people or 95.5 per cent of total cases.

Apart from that, SDMC disclosed that there were five Sarawakians who had returned to the state today as person-under surveillance (PUS) cases.

Meanwhile, 1,453 people are still undergoing quarantine at respective hotels throughout Sarawak as PUS.

As of today, SDMC said 14,728 PUS have completed their 14 days quarantine at hotels throughout the state. —DayakDaily
