KUCHING, Nov 12: The Enhanced Movement Control Order (EMCO) at Kampung Haji Baki has been lifted today as no new Covid-19 cases were detected in the second screening.

State Disaster Management Committee (SDMC) chairman Datuk Amar Douglas Uggah Embas emphasised that there was also no evidence of community-based transmission in the area.

“As such, SDMC would like to take this opportunity to thank all agencies and the residents of the village for their corporations that have allowed the successful implementation of the EMCO,” he told a press conference on Covid-19 situation in Sarawak at the State Legislative Assembly (DUN) Complex today.

Meanwhile, Uggah informed that of the five active clusters in Sarawak, only the Greenhill Cluster and Wisma Saberkas Cluster, both in Kuching, recorded additional cases today with one case and two cases respectively.

“The Greenhill Cluster has a total of 88 cases. A total of 1,296 individuals had tested negative and 102 still awaiting for lab results,” he said.

For Wisma Saberkas Cluster, he added that there were a total of 41 cases identified while 1,079 individuals had tested negative and 72 still awaiting lab results. – DayakDaily
