EMCO extended in Rh Keli, Sarikei from today until June 7

KUCHING, May 22: State Disaster Management Committee (SDMC) has announced the implementation of Enhanced Movement Control Order (EMCO) in Rh Keli in Sungai Minus, Sarikei starting today.

According to SDMC in a press statement today, the EMCO will be implemented for 17 days, until June 7, 2021.

The committee also said that the extension of EMCO implemented in Rh Jugo Gait in Sungai Petai, Sarikei, would be extended for another two days, from May 24 until May 26, 2021.


Meanwhile, SDMC also announced the end of EMCO implemented in 13 locations throughout the State, including in longhouses, villages and residential areas.

SDMC said the EMCO implemented in five longhouses namely Rh Jenggie in Lempa, Kabo, Betong, Rh Chan Minggat in Sg. Kesa, Sarikei, Rh Achan, Lubok Pancharan in Pakan, Rh Rampai in Sg. Anyit, Sarikei and Rh Ikuok in Sg. Rayah, Meradong, ends today (May 22, 2021).

“While for 13 other locations namely Kampung Hilir in Beladin, Betong, Rh Bunsu in Tansang, Betong, Rh Tatom in Nanga Tabau, Sibu, Rh Andin in Sungai Berjait, Sibu, Rh Boniface Manggie in Ulu Ranam, Sibu, Bukit Dinding-Begerik in Mukah and Rh Isa in Nanga Belansai in Julau, the EMCO will end on May 23, 2021,” the statement read. — DayakDaily
