MIRI, April 12: An electrical transformer near Madinah’s junction is now crippled after it was damaged and its fuel reportedly stolen. The damage caused is estimated to be RM1 million.
According to sources, the crime was discovered when the contractor-in-charge inspected the site at around 8am on Tuesday (April 9).
On closer look, he found certain parts of the transformer damaged and leaking fuel. There were also signs of intrusions.
A police report was immediately lodged at Miri Central Police Station. — DayakDaily
