KUCHING, April 12: State development projects implemented by the Public Works Department (PWD) and Department of Irrigation and Drainage (DID) in Santubong parliamentary constituency are progressing on schedule.

Hence, Santubong MP Dato Sri Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar hoped the federal government would also realise all the projects that had been approved by the previous Barisan Nasional (BN) government in 2017 and 2018.

“I am happy with the progress of these projects because they are important for the benefit of all Sarawakians,” he told a press conference after a meeting on the development of the projects with PWD and DID at PWD office in Batu Lintang here today.

“Some of the projects channelled by the federal government through DID have been completed, while some are still ongoing.”

Wan Junaidi also urged the agencies to engage and communicate with their federal counterpart to stress that these projects were not politically motivated but an investment by the government for the importance of the people. — DayakDaily
