KUCHING, May 19: A total of 5.5kg of drugs worth RM422,370 were found by First Division Infantry personnel from the Muara Tuang Camp along one of the many ‘jalan tikus’ along the Sarawak-Kalimantan border yesterday.

The members of the Regiment 4, Royal Armoured Corps team found a black coloured bag when patrolling the Tebedu Inland Port area, approximately 200 metres away from the border around 10am.

There were five plastic bags inside the bag and each of the bags contained crystal-like substances which are believed to be methamphetamine. Each plastic bag weighed 1.1kg.

The team later handed the drugs over to the Tebedu Police Station and police have started their investigations. — DayakDaily
