KUCHING, Jan 2: A male driver was injured after his vehicle crashed into a lamp post along Jalan Teng Chin Hua in Sungai Merah, Sibu today.
Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) operation centre, in a statement, said they received a call regarding the incident at 6.12 pm and nine firefighters from Sungai Merah fire station led by PBK II Shairunizam Wailie were deployed to the location.
According to the statement, the driver who was driving a sub-compact vehicle crashed into the lamp post and only suffered minor injuries.
The victim was brought out from his vehicle with the assistance of the firemen and was handed over to the ambulance waiting at the scene for treatment.
Among other agencies involved in the operation were Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) and Ministry of Health (MOH) personnel. — DayakDaily
