Driver believed killed by heart attack after crash along Kuching-Serian road

KUCHING, Aug 24: A 46-year-old man lost his life after losing control of his car and colliding into a road barrier at Mile 17, Kuching-Serian Road this morning.

Police rushed a team to the scene after receiving the emergency call at 9.25am.

According to the State Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Department Chief Supt Alexson Naga Chabu, the deceased was heading towards Kuching from Mile 24 when the incident happened.

“The deceased later lost control of his vehicle and collided into the road barrier beside the road.”

Alexson disclosed that the deceased did not suffer any injury from the collision but is believed to have experienced a heart attack. The deceased was pronounced dead at the scene by a doctor from Siburan Clinic.

The deceased’s body was later taken to the Forensics Department of Sarawak General Hospital for further investigation. — DayakDaily
