KUCHING, Jan 31: Deputy Chief Minister Dato Sri Dr Sim Kui Hian hopes to see Sarawak ‘roar’ with economic recovery in the Year of Tiger.
He also expressed his wish that Sarawak will gain back its rights under Malaysia Agreement 1963 (MA63) and as per the recent amendments to the Federal Constitution.
He took note that this is the second Chinese New Year (CNY) celebrated under the new norms since Covid-19 emerged.
āI would like to thank all of you for working together to fight Covid-19 in the best Sarawak spirit of solidarity.
āIn the Year of Tiger, we wish (for) the roaring of economic recovery and to gain back our rights under MA63 and the recent amendments under Malaysian Constitution,ā he said in his 2022 Chinese New Year video message posted on Facebook on Jan 27.
Dr Sim who is also the Minister for Public Health, Housing and Local Government-cum-Sarawak Disaster Management Committee (SDMC) advisor also wished Sarawakians good health, abundance of happiness and success in the Year of the Tiger as well as a joyful family reunion with immediate family members. ā DayakDaily
