SRI AMAN, Nov 19: Gabungan Parti Sarawak winning candidate Dato Sri Doris Sophia Brodie’s priority is to ensure that there is harmony between the three state constituencies development plans under P202 Sri Aman to implement the Sri Aman Development Agency (SADA).

“I have to spend some time after this week, and I have to sort it out and perhaps discuss it with the three state assemblymen under P202 Sri Aman – Simanggang, Bukit Bangunan and Balai Ringin,” she said.

“This is the way forward, as I cannot do this alone without their support. It is important that we move forward and synchronise together in development,” she added.

She was met by reporters after the announcement of her winning the parliamentary constituency of P202 Sri Aman tonight.

Doris said that the win is not for herself, but for the people of Sri Aman, and she was humbled by the result.

“I was surprised by the result as a first-timer and the majority of 4,039 votes. I expected a higher turnout as the weather was good. I am still processing the results,” she said.

Doris said that she would not leave those who did not vote for her but will include them in the development plans of the area.

“I will not abandon them, but get to know them better to understand their needs and concerns,” she said. — Dayakdaily
