KUCHING, Dec 10: d’Isabelle, developed by RJ Realty (Sarawak) Sdn Bhd as Sarawak’s first Green Building Index (GBI)-certified residential project, is a high-rise condominium that seamlessly blends modern living with nature, thoughtfully crafted to offer homeowners “a forever home in the sky.”
RJ Group’s creative director, Ryonna Chuo, emphasised that d’Isabelle has been meticulously designed to cater to evolving lifestyles.
“d’Isabelle is a home built for all ages, combining functionality and comfort to strengthen family connections in today’s fast-changing world.
“We are creating adaptable spaces where families can thrive long-term, proving that raising a family in a high-rise like d’Isabelle can be the ideal. It fulfills a lot of features that individuals and families want in their home.
“With the increasing flexibility to work from home and the need for homes that adapt as families grow, we wanted to offer a forever home where homeowners won’t need to keep upgrading,” she explained during the commencement of works ceremony for the project on-site today.
RJ Group of Companies chief executive officer (CEO) Datuk Lily Lim, managing director James Chuo, as well as directors Andrew Yu and Rigan Chuo were present at the event.
The project’s layouts provide flexibility, enabling homeowners to reconfigure spaces as their needs change. Each unit has been designed with sustainability and practicality in mind, ensuring a livable and adaptable environment.
The development beautifully blends nature with modern living, offering spacious units, green surroundings, and thoughtfully designed amenities.
“It is sustainable because we are not building without purpose. This project is carefully and thoughtfully crafted with homeowners in mind, addressing their concerns and creating a sustainable, liveable space,” she explained.
A standout feature of d’Isabelle is its “Detached in the Sky” concept. Each unit is a standalone space, reducing noise pollution and increasing ventilation—key elements of green building principles. This design fosters privacy, ample natural lighting, and superior airflow, creating a serene, energy-efficient living environment.
With 330 thoughtfully designed residences, unit sizes range from over 800 square feet for two-bedroom layouts to 1,600 square feet for three-bedroom units with an additional study. Various configurations ensure that the development caters to families of all sizes and multigenerational needs, offering a balance between luxury, comfort, and practicality.
As Sarawak’s first GBI-certified residential high-rise, d’Isabelle integrates energy-efficient designs, eco-friendly materials, and green spaces to promote a healthier lifestyle and environmental sustainability.
Beyond spacious living units, d’Isabelle offers a suite of thoughtfully designed amenities, including a swimming pool, gardens, a family lounge, and a herb garden where residents can suggest and grow plants for communal use.
“This adds a unique community feel. Residents can come together, enjoy the greenery, and even pick herbs for their cooking,” said Chuo.
Unique features also include direct access to the facilities floor via balconies, a design that caters to the needs of elderly residents. The development focuses on practical facilities that meet modern living needs, avoiding excessive services that might go unused.
Chuo expressed pride in d’Isabelle’s alignment with Sarawak’s green vision, championed by Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg.
“By introducing a green concept in Kuching, we’re contributing to the local landscape and leaving an iconic legacy,” she said.
Since its soft launch, d’Isabelle has received enthusiastic feedback from young professionals, families, and even elderly residents. Current promotions for the first 50 units include complimentary fittings and furnishings, such as kitchen cabinets.
“We’re thrilled to lead the industry toward a greener future,” Chuo said, underscoring the project’s role in shaping sustainable living in Sarawak.
d’Isabelle, expected to be completed in three to four years, represents more than just a residential project—it’s a symbol of progress and a commitment to creating sustainable homes in a liveable surrounding.
