DID director Ahmad Denney among 160 recipients of long service award in Limbang

KUCHING, Aug 18: Sarawak Department of Irrigation and Drainage (DID) director Ahmad Denney Ahmad Fauzi was among the 160 Loyalty Service Medal (‘Perkhidmatan Setia’) recipients in Limbang today his 32 years of service to the government.

The medal presentation ceremony, held at Purnama Hotel earlier, was officiated by the Premier of Sarawak Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg.

Also receiving the honour were Limbang District Officer Superi Awang Said and Lawas District Officer Ladin Atok who had served for 29 and 26 years, respectively.


Meanwhile, there were five civil servants who had served Sarawak and Malaysia governments for over 35 years.

They were Aslan Awang Abdullah (40 years) from Land and Survey Department, Alias Latif (39 years) from Sarawak Rural Water Supply Department (JBALB), Peter Vyner Lawan (39 years) from Royal Malaysian Customs Department (JKDM), Catherine Sigar (37 years) from Sarawak State Health Department (JKNS), and Pilong Bandong (37 years) from Sarawak Public Works Department (JKR).

All recipients today were from 11 State and Dderal departments, agencies or local bodies.

Out of the total, 138 were present for the ceremony today.

Among other dignitaries present was Sarawak State Secretary Dato Sri Mohamad Abu Bakar Marzuki. — DayakDaily
