Development agency to tender 37 projects in Sri Aman this year

SRI AMAN, Jan 30: Sri Aman Development Agency (SADA) is expecting to tender 37 out of 53 total proposed projects amounting to RM1.22 billion in the division this year.

SADA deputy chairman Datuk Amar Jaul Samion said 11 projects are for retaining river banks and flood mitigation, nine for construction of roads and bridges, seven involving terminals and jetties, five for the agricultural ecosystem, two for passenger jetties, two for tourism product infrastructure and ranger station, and renovation work for Sarawak Skills Development Centre (PPKS).

This was among the discussed matters in the first SADA meeting for this year held at Wisma SADA here today.

The meeting also welcomed new committee members, including Sri Aman MP Dato Sri Doris Sophia Brodie, Batang Lupar MP Mohamad Shafizan Kepli, and Lubok Antu MP Roy Angau Gingkoi.

Additionally, Jaul expressed appreciation to Sarawak Secretary Datuk Amar Mohamad Abu Bakar Marzuki, the Sarawak government, elected representatives and other officials for ensuring that all projects have been scrutinised to bring development for the people in Sri Aman. — DayakDaily
